Our South Indian Spiritual and Culinary Adventure is set to begin on the 19th February in Mahabalipuram, South India and conclude on the 28th February 2012 in Chennai, South India.

Our journey will take us to the following places: Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, Chidambaram, Swamimalai, Darasuram, Thanjavur, Chettinad district, Pillaiyapatti, Madurai and Chennai.

Enrollment Fees

The cost per person is USD2,935 based on double occupancy.

Fees cover, for the duration of the adventure:

• accommodations (based on double occupancy). Hotels range from luxury seaside resorts to simple temple town hotels.
• breakfast, lunch and dinner meals (all vegetarian) that are arranged by the trip coordinator
• Classes conducted by Dandapani, culinary excursions led by Markley Boyer and study materials
• Entrance fees to all monuments during group excursions
• Cultural performances
• All coach and bullock cart transportation
• The following group flight:
  • Madurai to Chennai
• Group excursions and activites as listed below
• All cooking classes and materials
• Arjuna's Penance and the Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram
• Sacred fire ceremonies and temple worship organized on our behalf
• Casting of a metal statue demonstration
• Visits to local fruit and vegetable markets
• Village visits
• Spending time at the home of a sari weaver
• We can't tell you the rest of it. We need to keep some things a surprise!

Participants are responsible for providing their own round-trip air travel arrangements to Chennai, India. Prices also do not include personal incidentals, beverages, laundry and optional private excursions.

Prices are based on cost and exchange rates at time of publication and are subject to change. Late fees may apply for any application received between 0 and 30 days to the date of the commencement of the program.

Enrollment occurs upon approval of your application by Vedic Odyssey. Vedic Odyssey reserves the right to qualify which applicants may or may not participate. Enrollment is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
