
This is certainly one of the best spiritual adventures we've planned with the experience of the Festival of Lights and the Pushkar Camel Fair all in one journey. The itinerary below shares in summary our days together as we journey through northwestern India.

New DelhiOct 24 & 25

Our journey begins in India's capital, New Delhi. Our stay here is brief. Enough to orient ourselves to life in India, meet our fellow travelers and get a taste of Delhi. Crowded and vibrant with life, Delhi is an onslaught on the senses. Its also home to some amazing architecture and deep history which we will touch on. |
AmritsarOct 26 & 27

We leave Delhi and fly north west towards the border of Pakistan and land in the town of Amritsar. Long a holy place for Sikhs around the world, Amritsar is home to the Golden Temple. We'll be here during one of India's biggest festivals, Diwali, the festival of Lights, and no where will you see a celebration grander than at the Golden Temple. It's an experienced not be missed. We'll also make our way one evening to Wagah, on the India-Pakistan border to see the highly entertaining border closing ceremony which takes places daily. JodhpurOct 28, 29 & 30

From Amritsar we make our way south, leaving the state of Punjab and entering the culturally rich and colorful state of Rajasthan. Our first stop is Jodhpur, the blue city. |
JaisalmerOct 31, Nov 1 & 2

We head west from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer, the last town on this road in the heart of the Great Thar Desert. Our days here will see us exploring this picturesque town and venturing future into the Thar to spend a night under the stars in the sands dunes. Read more and see photos of Jaisalmer. |
PushkarNov 3, 4 5, & 6

We make the long trek back from the Thar and head east, traveling for a day before we get to the town of Pushkar. The quaint town itself is an oasis for travelers to escape to and with the Pushkar Camel Fair being held, it's an experience not to be missed. Read more and see photos of Pushkar. |
JaipurNov 7 & 8

From Pushkar we head to Jaipur on the 7th of Nov. Our journey concludes on Nov 8th. A free transfer will be organised on the 8th to take us back to Delhi. |
