Chidambaram

Chidambaram is a small town made famous by its magnificent temple to God Siva. We will spend a night in this town and attend the sacred ceremonies in the temple. There will also be plenty of time to explore this amazing temple.

The 54-acre temple complex is one of the holiest temples in India and a wonderful example of Dravidian architecture..



Behind the enormous temple tank stands the 1,000 pillared King's Hall.



You can often see the priests of the temple chanting on the footsteps going down to the temple tank.
